From March 14 to 17, PATU President’s Cup will be held in Costa Rica. At this important G-2 category event, in addition to the points for the ranking, the Continental Union will grant quotas for the Pan American Cadet, Junior and Senior Championships.

With the intention of providing more opportunities to all countries in the region, the next President’s Cup to be held in Costa Rica from March 14 to 17, will award Wild Cards to the first place in the senior divisions in all modalities (Kyorugi, Poomsae, Taekwondo Team) for the Pan American Championship to be held during the month of May in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In addition, the cadet and junior divisions will see action in the Pan American Championship to be held in July (place to be defined) and for which the next Costa Rican President’s Cup will provide spots for the first and second place in each modality.

“Opening spaces in this way, in an event as important as the President’s Cup, is an initiative that looks to reward the effort of every minute of training in the exhaustive days that athletes perform seeking to represent their country and of course in pursuit of reaching the highest competitions in their modality. We are looking forward to the President’s Cup and later to the Pan American, Cadet, Junior and Senior Championships, which will undoubtedly raise the level of our participants,” said LAE Juan Manuel Lopez, president of PATU.
