With a structured calendar to boost the athletes, coaches, and referees of the region, PATU already starts 2024 with double the number of direct qualified spots to the Olympic Games.

With vision as usual in the administration of Juan Manuel Lopez, the Pan American Taekwondo Union celebrated a 2023 full of achievements and progress that expanded the spectrum of possibilities for the entire Taekwondo family in the region.

With the successful celebration of two events of the Olympic cycle, the Central American and Caribbean Games and the Pan American Games, witnessed the growth of the martial art at a general level in the continent. The inclusion and promotion of the Team Kyorugi modality had as a conclusion the great result of Brazil in the World Cup held at the end of the year in South Korea.

PATU begins a very promising olympic year

“Looking back to 2023 commits us even more to 2024, in the Olympic year we have everything scheduled to provide opportunities for the entire Pan American family in an integral way. We have managed to have the region united and giving new opportunities for MNAs to hold events of different kinds. This generates growth. We continue to work hard so that this year the opportunities increase, so we see more representatives from our region and better results at the Paris Games. We do not neglect any development areas, we care for the growth of Poomsae, spaces for younger age groups and educational development in all areas as we look for the sport mastery of all our practitioners. This year, we are going all out,” emphasized the president of the Pan-American Taekwondo Union, Juan Manuel Lopez.

The year starts with a series of seminars in conjunction with WT and PATU, to certify international Poomsae referees, in turn there will be two exclusive seminars of the Pan American Taekwondo Union for Kyorugi and Poomsae, the activities to be held in Queretaro will close with the gala dinner that will highlight the most outstanding of 2023.
