The “2024 US World Open & Kombat Taekwondo Championships” will be held on March 9 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, USA. MASTKD will be there to provide full coverage.
The “Kombat Taekwondo” craze arrives to the events as a new modality. Now in many championships there will be the possibility to register in Poomsae, Olympic Kyorugui or Kombat Taekwondo.
According to Rick Shin, organizer of the classic event held for decades by the “U.S. World Class Taekwondo Association”, for this event there are already many competitors who signed up for example in Poomsae and Kombat Taekwondo, “Suddenly, we have people who normally don’t participate in Kyorugui.”
Kombat Taekwondo will make its debut with the “Minor and Major League”, amateur underage and under 18 divisions respectively.
