Swiss Timing, the record measurement partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), notified KPNP last month, that well-known brand, a World Taekwondo (WT) recognized company, was selected as the PSS (Protector Scoring System) company for taekwondo competitions at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
KPNP has been selected as the official PSS for numerous international competitions, including the 2012 Incheon Asian Games, 2016 Jakarta Asian Games, 2017 Muju World Taekwondo Championships, and Baku 2023 World Taekwondo Championships.
KPNP’s successfully carried out events like “2022 Sofia World Junior and Cadet Taekwondo Championships” and “2023 Baku World Taekwondo Championships” which had a particularly positive role in Swiss Timing’s evaluation and decision-making process.
After the final decision, KPNP’s CEO, Lee In-su, expressed, “Since our establishment, we have been committed to developing exciting and exhilarating matches. We will utilize all our accumulated know-how to present the best Taekwondo matches to the athletes and spectators at next year’s Olympics.” KPNP’s PSS will have a test event, which is scheduled for August in Paris before making its official debut on the grand stage of the Summer Olympics next year.
