The event was a grand occasion, attended by invited guests such as the masters who have been customers since the 1983-1990 era, representatives from the Karate, Taekwondo, and Judo federations, as well as distributors from over 35 countries across 5 continents, and elite athletes sponsored by the company.
Some of the notable guests included Mr. Park Young Hyo, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Barcelona; Mr. Jean Marie Ayer, representing the World Taekwondo; Mr. Francisco Alegrete, executive advisor of the World Karate Federation; and Mr. Sakis Pragalos, President of the European Taekwondo Union, who offered words of congratulations at the event. WT president Dr. Chungwon Choue, who could not attend due to his agenda but sent his congratulations through a special video.
Also, Mr. Jesus Castellanos, president of the Royal Spanish Taekwondo Federation attended along with about 80 Korean and Spanish masters from all over the country, who enjoyed a great reunion celebrating this “40th Anniversary”.
Daedo’s journey began in 1983 when Mr. Chuen Wook Park founded the company in Barcelona, Spain. In just four years, Daedo became the official sponsor of the 8th World Taekwondo Championships. Since then, Daedo has continued to sponsor numerous World Championships in both Taekwondo and Karate, while also actively participating in the Olympic Games.
The company’s presence has been felt in iconic Olympic events such as Barcelona 1992, Athens 2004, and Beijing 2008, and it has also supplied the electronic chest protector (PSS) for the London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Daedo played a key role in advancing Taekwondo as an Olympic sport, particularly in the development of electronic competition systems for Taekwondo.
Daedo is currently officially approved by the four world and international federations such as the World Taekwondo (WT), World Karate Federation (WKF), International Judo Federation (IJF) and International Taekwondo Federation (ITF-Vienna).

The journey of Daedo has been a challenge for the company’s CEO, Mr. Chuen Wook Park. For that reason, he recognizes that the main support from the martial arts masters and the Taekwondo, Karate, and Judo Federations has significantly contributed to Daedo’s growth.
During the gala, Mr. Park personally presented appreciation plaques to Dr. Choue and several masters and Federations as a token of his everlasting gratitude.
Mr. Chuen Wook Park emphasized in his welcome speech: “Tonight’s gala is not to celebrate Daedo’s success today but to express our gratitude to all of you.”
