TJ also spoke about the former event in Colombia: “I thoroughly enjoyed the first event. The excitement, professional production, and the integration of hand techniques into the fights were truly spectacular to witness.”
He also told us what his motivations are for joining the company: “The prospect of being part of this growing organization was a significant motivator. I’m excited about the opportunity to influence and help shape this sport from its foundational stages, blending knowledge from various generations of Taekwondo to create a complete combat experience.”
“I am the High Performance Director for the organization. My role involves developing and guiding the physical and skill-based growth of our athletes. We will focus on programming and coaching development, starting from the grassroots level up to the professional league.”
Jennings also appointed about what his contributions will be into this new format: “Having trained with numerous top coaches throughout my career, I’ve acquired a versatile coaching approach to combat sports. I aim to contribute my extensive combat experience to establish a systematic program that enhances the growth and development of martial artists, both in the ring and in real-world scenarios.”
“I believe the sky is the limit. KTKD introduces a new vision for Taekwondo, creating opportunities and fostering growth for enthusiasts of the sport. I am grateful to Master Rick Shin for his vision and for entrusting me with this opportunity.”
As for the input of Kombat Taekwondo into the taekwondo world as a whole he told us: “KT illuminates all facets of Taekwondo, reopening the discipline to diverse styles, strategies, and grander stages. It enriches the traditional framework by introducing more dynamic and varied approaches to training and competition.”
