Marko Levtsenko has been named as Kombat Taekwondo president in Estonia and this is resulting on this country as the first European nation to join this professional Taekwondo franchise.

In a historic step towards strengthening taekwondo in the Pan-American region, the Pan-American Taekwondo Union (PATU) has signed two MOU’s with the aim of promoting inter-institutional cooperation and enhancing opportunities for athletes and the whole PATU family in the area.

Ottawa, ON – Taekwondo Canada is pleased to announce that the 2024 Canada Open is the most successful international event ever run by the organization. The event, held February 8th to 10th, featured over 800 athletes from 41 countries attending the event held over three days in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Elva Adams was a Referee during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and is currently very active as an international referee for World Taekwondo, as well as an outstanding Poomsae competitor. At Kombat Taekwondo she holds the position of vice chair of refereeing and Rick Shin has just appointed her to lead the central region of the United States.

Sylvain Fostin, president of the “Guadeloupe Taekwondo Association” MNA official WT, has assumed the role of Kombat Taekwondo representative in Guadeloupe, after being officially appointed by Rick Shin, president of the American company.

Master Danrey Velo was appointed president of Kombat Taekwondo in the Philippines, making it the U.S. brand’s first franchise in Asia. “He brought back the old school style of Taekwondo back to life.”

Raul Pinzon was president of the Colombian Olympic Taekwondo Federation and organizer of the only World Championships held in Colombia, as well as the first Kombat Taekwondo event. More and more countries have official representation of the Kombat Taekwondo franchise. Now the time has come for Chile with the appointment of Master Juan Marcelo Gallardo Silva.

In a resounding achievement, participants of the recent Poomsae referees’ seminar in the Pan-American Region have garnered strong support, with the majority approved to officiate in WT-sanctioned events. The renowned International Referee Marcelo Rezende has just been appointed as the president of Kombat Taekwondo Brazil and spoke with MASTKD about it.

Argentina has become the first country to have the appointment of president for Kombat Taekwondo. Claudio Aranda was appointed by Rick Shin to be the representative of the company in the South American country.

In an official announcement, the president of Kombat Taekwondo, Rick Shin, confirmed that in May and August the Grand Prix will be held in Brazil and Argentina respectively.
